How did the war in Iraq turn from self defense to an investment?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 5 Comments
I thought we went to war to defend ourselves. I watched the media briefing in Washington and the people in charge of the war in Iraq kept talking about our investment there.

I think Iraq is turning into another Vietnam, the only thing better about the Iraq war is the US is not treating the Military like crap. What are your thoughts?

What war will history view as the bigger foreign policy blunder for America.: Iraq or Vietnam?

I’m thinking it will be Iraq.
While Vietnam should never have happened, the pretenses foe the Iraq War were totally false.

Do Obama supporters feel duped by his campaign promises about the Iraq war?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 5 Comments
Now that his top advisor let us all know that his campaign promises about ending the Iraq war shouldn’t really be taken at face value, do his supporters feel a little less likely to trust what he says about other issues as well?

If the Iraq war ends, what would an Army infantry unit, more specifically an infantry officer do in peactime?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 5 Comments
I am in ROTC and am thinking I wanna go Infantry; however, if our change in leadership makes us pull out of Iraq, what would an infantry unit do? Would they just train in case of another conflict, or does the infantry get deployed often even when not at war? If I go infantry I do not want to sit on my hands and simply train only end up not doing any real missions.

What are the top ten things we have learned from our war with Iraq?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 10 Comments
Here are my top ten power points on this war.
1. The Administration never found Weapons of mass
destruction( Are we still looking for them)????
2. Iraq never ever posed an imminent nuclear threat.
3. There are other countries that posed a greater Nuclear
threat than Iraq.
4. That America needs to review and revamp its war policy.
One man should not have the power to decide whether or
not this country goes to war against another country.
5. We should never go to war on False Pretenses.
6. We can’t topple every dictator in the world.
7. We need to engage the international community.
8. Terrorism is a global problem
9. Christians and Moslems need to learn more about each
other. Our presence in Iraq is not welcome by most.
10. We need to pray and repent of our sins and pray for our
troops every single day while they are over there fighting
in a very hostile environment. AMEN.

Should we call on Harry Potter to end the Iraq war?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 6 Comments
The Iraq war has been going on for far too long. It is my fear that if Barack Obama is not elected we will never get out of Iraq. In any case, should we call upon the magical wizards of Hogwarts, specifically Harry Potter to save the day?
